Guide to Migrating Dropbox Data to Google Drive

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to migrate your data from Dropbox to Google Drive using the OneLogin portal.

Access your Dropbox account through your OneLogin portal to begin the migration process.

Locate Your Personal Folder

Click on the top left column to locate and select the folder that is named after you.

Create a New Backup Folder

Create a new folder within Dropbox and name it something memorable like "Dropbox Backup" for easy identification.

Move Data to the New Folder

Move all your documents and other folders into the newly created "Dropbox Backup" folder.

Utilize Drag and Drop or Move Function

You have the option to drag and drop files and folders directly into "Dropbox Backup," or you can use the move functionality by selecting the files, clicking on the three dots to open the submenu, and selecting "Move."

Select Destination and Confirm Move

Choose "Dropbox Backup" as your destination folder and then click the "Move" button to confirm the transfer of your files.

Download the Backup Folder

After moving all data to "Dropbox Backup," hover over the folder, click the three dots button for more options, and then select "Download."

Unzip the Downloaded Folder

Open your default download location. On a Mac, double-click the downloaded zip file to extract its contents. On a Windows PC, right-click the zip file, choose "Extract All," and then click "Extract."

Access Google Drive

Go to Google Drive by opening a browser and navigating to the Google Drive website.

Upload Folder to Google Drive

Click the "New" button in Google Drive, then select "Folder upload" from the submenu. Navigate to the recently unzipped folder in the file browser that appears and select it for upload.

Complete the Upload

Wait for the upload process to complete. The time required will depend on the size of the folder and the speed of your internet connection.
